Isaiah keeps reminding us that God is working in the world to show how great He is. While God is dealing with people who choose to disobey Him, He is also helping people who are hurting and in need. He gives strength to those who feel weak, and He protects them when life feels scary, like a storm.
And the amazing thing is that those people are us when we trust in Jesus. "They" are us when we look to God to save us. "They" are us when we keep our eyes on Jesus and keep following Him, even when life is hard, just like Hebrews 12 teaches us.
Jesus is the One who started our faith, and He is the One who will help us finish strong. He has already saved us, and one day He will complete His work in us. The people in Isaiah's time had to wait and hope for the Savior to come. We are blessed because we can look back and see what Jesus has already done for us.
But the best is still to come! One day we will be with Jesus forever, and everything will be even better than it is now.
Until that day, we keep trusting Him and enduring as we wait for Him. Isaiah reminds us more than once to wait for the Lord. This hope should help us keep going, fill us with joy, and encourage us to live for God every day.
