- How might Paul have persuaded them of Jesus from the Law of Moses and the Prophets? (verse 23).

Notes
(See Saturday for authors.)
Isaiah's prophetic hardening of the Jewish people continues into the Gospel age. However, it is for a very specific purpose: so that the Gospel can go forth to the Gentiles! Most of us, all who are not of Jewish descent, are Gentiles. By nature, the promises made to Abraham and his offspring are not made to us. And yet, the Bible says that when we believe in Christ, we are grafted into the promises made to Abraham, and those covenant promises are now extended in a special way to our children! Praise God that He made a way for the nations to be saved, and that we who were far off could be brought near by the blood of Christ!
