How did Christ, being the Son of God, become man?
Christ, the Son of God, became man, by taking to himself a true body, and a reasonable soul, being conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost, in the womb of the Virgin Mary, and born of her, yet without sin.

Luke gives us a short look at Jesus's childhood. In just a few verses, he tells us that Jesus grew physically, became wiser, and enjoyed God's favor. Jesus's childhood was normal in many ways, even though He was God's Son.
As Jesus grew older, He understood more and more about who He was and the special work God had given Him to do. We can see this in the story of His family's trip to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration. Parents today might think this story is a little funny or a little scary! Mary and Joseph started traveling home and thought Jesus was with the group of family and friends. But after a while, they realized He was missing!
They were very worried and hurried back to Jerusalem to look for Him. After searching, they found Jesus in the temple. He was sitting and talking with the religious teachers. Everyone who heard Jesus was amazed by how much He understood. Even though He was still young, He spoke with great wisdom. Some people may have already begun to see the special authority Jesus had.
Even so, Jesus obediently went home with His parents and submitted to their authority. And God continued to favor Him. May God favor our children in Jesus!
